This just in today Broadcast Now reports that Karen Gillan will be returning as a regular in next season's episodes which kick off shooting in July, a notable change considering the full-time companion has changed each year since the show's revival, aside from Rose (Billie Piper) who lasted the first two full seasons in 2005 and 2006.
